Service Manager

The Growth Company’s (GC) Justice Services team is recruiting a Service Manager to lead delivery and support staff on the CFO Evolution Activity Hubs contract. You’ll drive performance, outcomes, and meet commissioner expectations.

Through programmes like CFO, we support individuals across the North of England—ranging from those newly unemployed to people facing complex barriers such as disability, mental health challenges, and financial hardship, helping them into meaningful employment.

This role will cover Blackpool and Blackburn Activity Hubs. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate your team to meet and exceed commissioner targets.
  • Maximise job placements and sustained outcomes for participants.
  • Collaborate closely with HMPPS staff and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee contract performance, including P&L accountability, staff productivity, and operational costs.
  • Build strong local partnerships to enhance support provision.
  • Drive continuous improvement in systems, service quality, and product development.
  • Ensure robust data integrity, security, and audit compliance.
  • Uphold the highest standards of probity and integrity in service delivery.

About You:

  • Confident communicator, able to present to stakeholders including Governors and HMPPS.
  • Skilled report writer with strong ICT proficiency.
  • Results-oriented and experienced in managing people effectively.

Skills Required:

  • In-depth understanding of the Justice Sector and CFO Evolution services.
  • Proven management experience and knowledge of employment law and people management principles.
  • Strong grasp of management information (MI) and financial reporting.
  • Solid awareness of labour market trends and relevant national/local policy.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering measurable performance outcomes.
  • Direct experience in staff management.
