The role
We want to hear from an experienced Senior Consultant who is passionate about what they do. You'll engage in the entire project life cycle, from inception to completion, working on a diverse range of projects across various sectors.
You will be responsible for managing and delivering consultancy projects, working for both public and private sector clients offering a range of services from strategy and programme development to project appraisal, impact assessment, business cases, and evaluation across the broad spectrum of GC Insight projects.
We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who can support our team’s growing Destination and Place workload including place-based land/property economic and development projects and/or inward investment, visitor economy, culture/heritage attraction and development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating with Directors and Junior Consultants to develop and deliver high-quality research and evaluation methodologies.
- Planning, prioritising, and being accountable for work plans as well as organising and managing multiple responsibilities to achieve project objectives.
- Using qualitative and quantitative data to draw intelligent conclusions to answer research questions.
- Developing research instruments and tools that ensure we generate the insight and understanding our clients need.
- Conducting in-depth consultation and research, including primary and secondary methods.
- Building strong client relationships, demonstrating an understanding of their needs to meet or exceed their expectations.
About you:
- A relevant degree or master’s in economics, human geography, urban regeneration, and planning, or related subject areas including data analysis, social research, and public policy.
- A minimum of 4 years’ consultancy experience.
- A good understanding of, and exposure to, a broad portfolio of research methods.
- Expertise in managing clients and delivering projects on time.
- Strong data and numerical skills, including a proven track record of presenting this visually and innovatively.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- A team player who collaborates and works well with colleagues to achieve project objectives.
- Analytical with a keen attention to detail, delivering quality outputs.
