Operations Manager - Justice Service

The Growth Company (GC) is hiring a Operations Manager for the West Yorkshire area.

The role will be to lead a team of Service Managers to ensure the successful delivery of a portfolio of Ministry of Justice (MOJ) Creating Future Opportunities (CFO) Evolution Contracts and to deliver Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and interventions for participants to the performance expectations of the Ministry of Justice CFO commissioners

This is a part time position 3 days a week. 

Currently, all applications are considered as expressions of interest as funding is subject to contract award.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the successful delivery of contracts for the commissioners.
  • Deliver the required volume of interventions.
  • Achieve contractual Key Performance Indicators and interventions for the specified number of participants within the required hours and complexity.
  • Lead and support a team of Service Managers to drive high levels of contractual performance and compliance.
  • Take full responsibility for the P&L account results for the contract portfolio.
  • Deliver high-quality and compliant services to service users, in collaboration with the GC Compliance team and the Curriculum and Quality Improvement Manager.
  • Ensure services are delivered with integrity and probity.

About You:

  • Effective leader with strong staff management skills.
  • Confident presenter to commissioners and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in producing high-standard written reports.
  • Skilled in interpreting and producing financial information, such as Profit & Loss accounts.
  • Fluent user of ICT.

Skills Required:

  • Extensive experience in people management at scale.
  • Proven track record in managing teams within various sectors.
  • Budget management responsibility.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving tangible performance results. 
  • Have a good understanding of the Justice Sector and contract interventions and services.
  • Must have justice sector experience working with ex-offenders. 
  • Working knowledge of people management principles and employment law.
  • Strong grasp of financial information.
