Employability Tutor - Business Administration
The Growth Company’s Education and Skills team is seeking an Adult Skills Tutor to lead engaging, 2–3-week classroom-based courses in the following subjects:
- Business Administration
- Employability
- Customer Service
- Employability for working in the Care sector
- Food Safety
- Introduction to Facilities
Candidates must have relevant industry experience, qualifications, and/or teaching expertise in these areas. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing, promoting, delivering, and assessing training, ensuring learners achieve the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver classroom based / accredited qualifications, entry 3 - level 2 to Greater Manchester (GM) residents (learners aged 19+) in class sizes of up to 12-15 people.
- Carry out initial and on-going assessment to ensure students are on the right programme and receiving the right level of support.
- Provide robust learning opportunities that ensures learners successfully undertake and complete assignments or sit exams to maintain high success rates.
- Mark paper-based assessment evidence of students’ work, ie. Portfolios and paper-based exams.
- Provide written and verbal structured, constructive feedback.
- Set SMART development objectives for learners.
- All paperwork is completed in line with current in-house procedures.,
About You:
- Motivating and inspiring.
- Supportive and flexible approach.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to plan and organise workload effectively.
- IT skills including the ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
Skills Required:
- Must hold teaching qualification – At least PTLLS Level 3 (Essential).
- IAG Level 2 / Qualification or willingness to undertake training (Desirable).
- Full UK Drivers Licence and access to use of a vehicle to be able to travel across Greater Manchester.
- Experience of working with adults in the education sector.
- Understanding issues of people with barriers to employment.
