The Growth Company’s (GC) Education and Skills team have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Advisor / Apprenticeship Sales to generate and account manage a caseload of Greater Manchester (and the North West) employers in order to promote and achieve the take-up of GC Education and Skills and GC services.

As one of the largest providers of skills and training in the UK, we are dedicated to supporting businesses and individuals with apprenticeships, higher education, and commercial training. We help people to develop their skills across a diverse range of sectors and levels, with our work with leading businesses to ensure our curriculum boosts the career prospects of individuals and productivity of businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose business needs to effectively position our services.
  • Create and refresh a caseload of businesses to meet targets.
  • Conduct proactive sales activities including cold calling, telesales, and digital campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain excellent account management relationships.
  • Conduct professional meetings and deliver sales presentations.
  • Attend networking and recruitment events.
  • Project manage commercial training projects.
  • Contribute to competitive tenders and cross-company targets.

About You:

  • Proven business diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent selling, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong project management and organisational abilities.
  • End-to-end recruitment expertise.
  • Understanding of business unit services, qualifications, and frameworks.
  • Effective communication skills at all business levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Skills Required:

  • Minimum of two years in sales and employer engagement.
  • Experience in diagnosing business needs and developing solutions.
  • Ability to produce business proposals and deliver convincing sales presentations.
  • Experience in delivering or selling skills training and recruitment services.
  • Knowledge of work-based learning routes, including Apprenticeship Standards
  • and NVQs.
  • Familiarity with business support services and funding requirements.
  • Ability to motivate and influence young people and employers.
